Do you do in-home care separate from behavioral consulting?
Yes, I can do either separately or combine them. If I have done an initial consult with you where I have assessed behavioral issues, I can implement and build on them doing in-home care while you are away. Additional cost will be determined depending on severity of the issue.
Do you take care of cats/other animals/horses?
Yes! I have owned a ranch with all kinds of animals and am happy to take care of any for you. Please ask for a pricing sheet.
Do you have another job that you go to when you do overnight care?
No, I am fortunate that I can work online anywhere and will stay at your house 24/7.
Do you have references?
Yes! Please ask; happy to send them to you.
Do you use aversive techniques?
No. This is all about educating owners as to how your dog views their environment; with structural change and understanding, many behaviors stop. If a correction is needed, the owner will be coached on how to implement it with good timing and fairly.
Do you deal with reactive dogs?
Yes. Often reactivity stems from your dog’s view of your environment, and with structure and understanding, that can change.
Who have you studied with?
Over the past 25 years, I have studied with many trainers with different ideologies as well as owned a boarding/training business, worked with rescues and owned over 30 dogs. My behavioral training is practical and doable for the average pet owner; I don’t train sit, down, stay in the traditional sense. There are many wonderful trainers for that; I’d be happy to direct you to some I know.
